CompactPCI Systems
A CompactPCI system is a modular industrial computer built around the PCI bus, using plug-in boards installed in a rugged chassis.
It typically includes:
- A CompactPCI chassis
- A backplane
- A CPU board
- I/O boards
- Storage, network, or communication boards
- Power supplies and cooling
The boards usually come in 3U or 6U Eurocard formats and plug vertically into the chassis.
CompactPCI is commonly used in:
