A MicroTCA power module is the plug-in unit that converts incoming power and distributes the required DC voltages to the modules in a MicroTCA chassis.
Its main functions are:
Supplying power to the AMC modules, MCH, fans, and other chassis components
Monitoring voltage, current, temperature, and power status
Communicating with the MCH for intelligent power management
Controlling module startup and shutdown
Protecting the system against overcurrent, overvoltage, and overheating
Supporting redundancy or hot-swap operation in some chassis
The MCH normally negotiates how much power each AMC module is allowed to use before enabling its main payload power. This prevents the chassis from being overloaded when modules are inserted or started.
Our portfolio contains MicroTCA Power Modules in single-width and double-width, AC and DC, air-cooled and conduction cooled.
Below you find a selection of available Power Modules.
