AMC324

A MicroTCA module with serial or USB ports is an AMC plug-in board that adds external communication interfaces to a MicroTCA chassis.

It may provide:

• Serial ports: RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485
• USB ports: USB 2.0, USB 3.x, host, or device connections
• Sometimes CAN bus, UART, or GPIO interfaces
• Front-panel connectors for cables and external equipment
• A PCIe, USB, or Ethernet connection to a processor through the MicroTCA backplane

Typical uses include connecting:

As a standardized platform of PICMG MicroTCA systems are typically used in medical applications, telecommunications as well as in measurement systems for industrial and scientific applications (e.g. particle physics).

Description:

AMC324 provides sixteen RS-422/485 ports (RX and TX) in a single module, compact-size AdvancedMC (AMC) form factor. All sixteen ports are available through the front panel with a high-density connector. We offer a breakout adapter cable to convert this high-density connector to standard DB-9 connectors.
